Abra comes to this work inspired by a love of beauty and art. Abra is both a dancer and producer.Coming from a family of musicians with a deep love of music and performance, Abra found dance at about the same time she began walking. Abra danced competitively from the age of 7 years, and received her first recognition as a choreographer at the age of 12.
Abra’s step into producing was not a far stretch, spending most of her life as a dancer, and the life of her career as a freelance Organizer, event Planner and Arts Administrator. Abra has a Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies with an emphasis on Non Profit Administration. She has acted as Program Director for Mir & A Company, Project Manager of National Dance Week Santa Cruz, Is the Force behind Santa Cruz Dance.com, the owner of Motion Pacific Dance Studio and Company, as well as consultant to many local producers, artists and organizations. Abra dances with and is a founding member of, The Gravity Girls, local aerial dance company.
