Dancing Through the Decades: 50th Anniversary Gala
March 23 @ 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
LOCAL FOOD & DRINKS | DECADE THEMED COSTUMES | DANCING | LIVE & SILENT AUCTION | ALL FOR THE KIDS
Since 1969, the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Cruz County has provided services to more than 30,000 of our communities’ children and teens. Please join us at this very special Boys & Girls Club Gala and celebrating the years by Dancing through the Decades with floors of incredible foods, spirits and entertainment.
We encourage guests to wear costumes/outfits in their favorite decade between 1960-2010. What decade will you choose?
The Gala will include multiple grazing stations featuring local restaurants such as Splash, Shadowbrook and Buttercup Cakes & Farm House Frosting. Special signature cocktails from each decade will be available including the Manhattan from the 60s, Harvey Wallbanger from the 70s, Long Island Ice Tea and Cosmopolitans from the 80s. Local breweries and wineries will be on hand to provide free tastings and samplings. The Gala will be filled with interactive activities, music and dancing throughout the decades with DJs playing favorite songs from each decade on all three floors of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History. Prizes will be awarded to attendees dressed in the best decade attire.
From 6-7:30p.m. the event will feature a silent auction with prizes such as vintage video games, golf packages and spa treatments.
A live auction will be held from 8-8:30p.m. with Fred Keeley as the auctioneer. Items such as private plane excursions, champagne parties, gourmet wine dinners and Tahoe vacation packages will be available to bid on. All proceeds from the event will support current and future Clubhouses and youth development programs to ensure that all Santa Cruz County children and teens are given the opportunity to realize their full potential.
