Makers Market Street Closure 12/2/18

November 21, 2018

ATTENTION: Street Closure/Event Notification

Dear Business Owner and/or Resident,

This letter is to notify you that the 1500 block of Pacific Ave. in downtown Santa Cruz  between Water St. and Locust St. will be closed on Sunday, December 2 for an event, the Downtown Makers Market. Hours of the street closure are from 8am-7pm.

I am excited to bring this event to downtown Santa Cruz! The Makers Market is all about supporting local business and local artists. Market hours are from 10am-5pm. Artists will be set-up on both sides of the street in the parking spaces. A few of them will be placed on the sidewalk area (near the ends of the street), but not directly in front of any business. There are no 10×10 canopies at this event. Artists will be setting up on 6 foot tables and have the option to use a market umbrella if they’d like shade. We will also have live music at Memorial Plaza that will serve as the entrance to the market.

I invite you to bring a table or rack of merchandise onto the sidewalk in front of your store that afternoon or put out a sandwich board sign with balloons advertising a sale, etc. I anticipate the market will bring happy shoppers to both businesses and artists during the event.

I am happy to answer any questions you might have and your feedback is always welcome and appreciated.

Thank you for your support!
