For 14 years, Santa Cruz dancers have hit the streets of Downtown for Dancing in the Streets. Celebrate the joy of dance and the strength of our community through an unforgettable afternoon of free performances in the heart of Downtown Santa Cruz from 5:15pm-9:30pm.

Join us April 18th-25th as we celebrate the joy of dance and the strength of our community through an unforgettable week of free performances, open classes and community events!
Dance Week is a vibrant celebration of dance in Santa Cruz, including the annual Dancing in the Streets kick off event in Downtown on April 18th starting at 5:00pm. With three stages and hundreds of dancers, it has been a community favorite for 15 years.
Now is your chance! Step into our vibrant community of dancers and unleash YOUR inner creativity. Get moving and grooving with our fun and energetic open dance classes for all ages and skill levels including Haitian, Hula, Heels and Hip Hop. There are close to a hundred dance classes open to the public for the week in local studios and community centers.
A $20 contribution to Dance Week gives you an all access pass for the week!
